    Mine stares at me. Puts his face into mine. If his whiskers don’t wake me, he paws me. If that doesn’t work, he lays down for a little bit to wait (he is older). When he gets impatient, he tries again, but this time he nips me in the arm. He is hoping I will chase him to the cat food or to the front door.

    To make sure they don’t eat too much, I put a day’s worth ina small tubberware, then feed them thorough out the day as they are hungry. He will eat some and walk away. 10 minutes later, he will be hungry again (or hope for different food). Instead of climbing the cat tree to check for food, he will come to us and ask for more. He will not leave us alone until we reintorduce him too the food. Apparently, either he doesn’t want to climb up there just to find out there is no food or he thinks the food only appears when we walk up. But, he is smart enough to know better. 🤦
