Giant, Fluffy Cats Have Taken Over This Farm, And They’re Absolutely Majestic January 03 2018, 9 Comments
It seems cats aren't content to just take over the Internet. They've also started something of a grassroots campaign in their plot for world domination, which includes completely taking over one farmer's land.
The fluffy family has free reign of the farm, and spend their days doing what cats do best: sleeping, eating, the general rigorous cat schedule. But Alla's cat's serve a more important purpose on the farm than just unbelievably floofy companions: they are expert pest control. And all natural, too! " Our cats protect the chickens and rabbits from rats and mice,” says Alla.
“How many do we have now?" Lebedeva said. "To such a question I usually answer ‘a million, maybe more’." They live in the henhouse, and sleep on the polati, and they have three ‘little bedrooms’ there where can they sleep according to how they feel.”
In photos, the cats' bedrooms are lined with warm, insulating straw that traps their body heat and helps keep their kitty accommodations comfy and warm through cold, snowy nights.
A few years ago Lebedeva noticed that photos of her fluffy felines had gone viral; but they were being called Norwegian Forest cats when they are decidedly not Norwegian, according to Lebedeva. They're Siberian, of course!
These cats take up a bit more space than your average tabby cat.
Their long, fluffy coats are naturally insulated and help keep their body heat in and the cold out.
Tufted paws act like mini snow shoes to keep the cats from sinking too far into the snow.
But they're really no different than any other cat.
