Trying to get a good night's sleep around can be a bit tricky; no one knows this better than cat people. In fact, cat owners the world over have likely perfected the art of sleeping around their cats. If you're a cat owner, you'll likely recognize these 10 sleeping positions. Who knew something so small and fluffy could take up so much space?

My Luckiki is an 8 year old tuxedo that I rescued from the side of the road when he was about 4 weeks old. He has always slept right next to me, with his face snuggled up with mine and half way under the covers. Often he is still there when I wake up. He is my furrever furbaby.

Whenever I lay down to go to sleep my Onyx waits for me to get comfortable then hops up on the bed meows at me and I lift the covers so he can get in. He gets in and then meows again and I lay my arm down so he can lay his head on it to go to sleep..

I have four cats. I sleep on my side and one goes on the hip, one across the top of my head and that sleeps right against my belly. The fluffy little one watches from under a chair and sometimes she will pounce on the bed to get in on the action too. There’s nothing better than falling asleep hearing them purr…

There’s an 11th position: “The Snuggler.” Fritz insists on lying flush against me under the covers. Sometimes he will go in headfirst, so his tail is in my face. Other times, he will be considerate enough to turn around. Fritz will sometimes opt for the “Paralysis” position and sleep on my chest. Again, he may position himself so his tail is in my face. As Fritz is a longhair with a bushy tail, this is more than slightly annoying.

Shelby is my “Proximity Cat” and is happy to sleep living room.
