Leftovers? What Leftovers?

Milton has a plan: eat half now, save the rest for tomorrow. Sensible. Responsible. Absolutely not going to happen.

One plate of spaghetti and twenty minutes later, tomorrow’s lunch has mysteriously disappeared. The only clues? An empty plate and a very round cat who needs to lie down.

Milton plans to save half his spaghetti for tomorrow; twenty minutes later, he lies belly-up beside an empty plate.

Comic transcript

Milton sits at a table with a plate of spaghetti, holding a fork and knife. He thinks, “I’m just gonna eat half.” Then, “I can save the rest for tomorrow!”

Twenty minutes later, Milton lies on his back with a full belly, still holding his fork. The plate beside him is empty except for a few spots of sauce.

We admire the optimism, Milton. But some leftovers never make it to the fridge.

Ever promised yourself you’d save half, only to finish every bite? Consider this your official invitation to blame your inner Milton.
