Candy Coma

There’s “just one more piece,” and then there’s Milton.

In today’s Milton the Cat comic, our favorite gray tabby has reached peak Halloween mode: belly up, eyes closed, and absolutely no plans to move. The jack-o’-lantern bucket has tipped over, the wrappers are scattered, and a few leftover sweets have found a new home on his belly.

Milton the gray tabby lies on his back with a bulging belly and candy on top, beside a tipped-over jack-o’-lantern bucket spilling sweets and scattered wrappers.

The aftermath of “just one more”

Milton may have underestimated the candy bucket. Or overestimated his ambition. Either way, the result is a very round cat taking a very necessary break.

We like to imagine he had a solid plan: inspect the treats, supervise the Halloween festivities, and settle in for a sensible nap. Somewhere along the way, “sensible” left the room.

For anyone who has ever curled up on the couch after a little too much holiday snacking, Milton’s expression needs no explanation. No regrets. No sudden movements. Just a quiet request to be left exactly where he is.

Of course, this candy caper belongs in the comics. Keep the real-life Halloween stash and wrappers safely out of your kitty’s reach, and let Milton handle the imaginary overindulgence.

Are you team “save some for later” or team “someone hide the candy bucket”? Milton’s position on the matter seems pretty clear.
